Get ready to think, tinker, and code—no screens required! In Tinker Tots: Code Edition, little learners and their grown-ups team up to explore the exciting world of coding through hands-on, unplugged activities. Together, they’ll build problem-solving skills, practice sequencing, and discover the magic of computational thinking using storytelling, movement, and creative play.
Each session blends play-based learning with early math and logic concepts—perfect for curious minds and busy hands! From giving a “robot” directions to building simple patterns and loops, children will begin to understand how computers think while strengthening communication, collaboration, and critical-thinking skills.
By the end of the class, families will have a toolbox full of fun, screen-free ways to keep exploring coding at home.
They’ll learn:
- How to follow and create simple algorithms (step-by-step instructions)
- Sequencing, patterns, and problem-solving through play
- Early STEM and logic foundations
- Collaboration and communication with peers and caregivers
No class on January 19 (MLK Day), February 16 (Washington’s b-day and Susan B. Anthony Day – public schools closed)
