LearnEd

Designed especially for young innovators, SCF’s Elementary Tech Camps offer playful, hands-on experiences that introduce foundational STEM concepts through creativity and exploration. Campers will design and fabricate custom creations using laser cutters, dive into the world of coding through Minecraft Education Edition, bring robots to life while tackling obstacle course challenges, and imagine future healthcare innovations with beginner 3D printing tools. With a strong focus on curiosity, problem-solving, and teamwork, these camps empower elementary-aged learners to build confidence in science, technology, engineering, and design—all while having fun!

AUGUST: Laser Lab – Digital Design for Kids

Campers explore digital design and laser cutting with SCF’s Glowforge! Students create custom puzzles, signs, and keychains while learning design thinking, STEM safety basics, and fabrication fundamentals in a fun and creative setting.

SEPTEMBER: Minecraft Jr. Coding Quest

Young coders step into Minecraft Education Edition to tackle block-based coding challenges. Students build, explore, and solve in-game quests while mastering programming concepts like loops, sequences, and conditionals.

OCTOBER: Jimu Robotics Obstacle Course Challenge

Budding engineers design and code their own robots using Jimu kits to conquer obstacle courses. With daily design challenges and race-day competitions, kids learn physics, coding, and collaboration in an energetic, team-based environment.

NOVEMBER: Mission MedTech – 3D Printing for Space

Future innovators discover how astronauts might use 3D printers to stay healthy on Mars. Students brainstorm, sketch, and digitally design custom medical tools, then bring their ideas to life with beginner-friendly 3D printing tools.

JANUARY: RoboCoaster – Amusement Park Engineering with SPIKE Prime

Kids become theme park engineers by designing robotic coasters, rides, and games using LEGO® SPIKE Prime kits. Campers dive into gears, sensors, and block-based programming while solving real-world engineering puzzles as a team.
